Authentic Historical Collection

This collection is made in co-operation with Lars Sjöberg, who is one of Sweden’s experts on 18th century buildings, furniture and textiles. He has been collecting textiles from the 18th century for many years and has reproduced some of these old designs, making them as true to the original as possible, surveying the production himself.

New 2011

PASTORAL SCEN  was found on the back of an old silk-duvet from the 1700s. The pattern pictures three beautiful ladies under an antique temple arch. Pastoral scen is printed on a thick 100% pure linen.

News 2010

SALAHOLM is a calico material copied from its original, an old Swedish silk-duvet, 250 years old. Here is a rococo-pattern of twining, leafy tendrils, typical for the latter part of the 18th century. Ljungberg's print it on half-linen with a beautiful patina in structure and colour. The silk-duvet is owned by Lars Rune Larsson in Storvik.

NORRNÄS is printed on organic, unbleached cotton, mangled in heat and pressure. This gives the materiall the same glossy surface as the original, a furnishing fabric from Norrnäs mansion on Värmdö. Few specimens of this kind have been preserved in Sweden. Our Norrnäs-material has been protected under later layers of covering on two mansion's drawing-room sofas.

The patterns of the collection are only printed in one colour-scheme – the one of the original. Not untill we find an authentical original from the 1700s with the same pattern in another colour-scheme, will we print one of that kind.
